As we’ve mentioned before, the Established & Sons installation in Milan was impressive: 30 tons of untreated American tulipwood was used to create rough walls of 2 to 4 metres in height. The structure housed 13 zones where 16 new designs were on display with some notable highlights from previous collections. The settlement will be recycled and used again during the London Design Festival later on this year. Some of the new designs include the brilliant carbon fibre Surface table by Terence Woodgate and John Barnard, the calming Table, Bench, Chair from Sam Hecht and Jason Bruges’ Flatliner light. In contrast were the Bricks & Mortar chairs from Sebastian Wrong and Richards Woods and the Tudor collection by Jaime Hayon. The Bouroullecs’ Quilt was very cosy and at first it was difficult to spot the differences between Maarten Baas’ Standard Unique chairs. Shown above is the Buggs light by Sebastian Wrong.
